Rams lose final game to Wentworth, 5-1

2-23-08: Wentworth – 5; FSC - 1
Boston, MA – The Ram Icemen faced off against the Wentworth Leopards for their final game of the 2007-2008 season. The Rams once again faced a red hot opponent. Wentworth entered the game winning their last two games by a 19-3 margin and primed to continue on their home ice.

As they have all year, the Rams were ready for the challenge. They were whistled for just two minor penalties the entire game, they fore-checked, they back-checked, they deserved better than the outcome, a 5-1 loss to the Leopards. The Icemen finished their season with a 1-23-1 overall record. Wentworth finished 11-13-0 overall on the year

Tim Richard (Leominster, MA) scored the lone goal for the Rams as they were unable to finish off their scoring chances. Ram goalie Peter Dundovich (Philadelphia, PA) stopped 41 shots in goal for the Rams.

Rams Notebook:
Rams scoring - Nicholas Glum (Bellingham, MA) lead the Rams in scoring for the year with 22 points followed by Jason Akstin (Bridgewater, MA) with 16 points and Jeremy Schmidt (Huffman, TX) with 14 points. . It marked the final games in Ram Black & Gold for Captain Akstin, Alternate Captains Nicholas Glum, Tim Richard, Jon Lamken (Wareham, MA) and Steve Butler (Dorchester, MA). Be sure to thank the above outgoing seniors as they maintained great leadership and work ethic throughout a very challenging year. Thanks Guys! Job well done. . .
